very cool to see Jackson play that finale really well. She was too far forward with about 1km to go, and let a rider or two in front of her in the corners. And then Faulkner buried herself to get to the front to give Jackson a leadout - Jackson must have been absolutely psyched to see Faulkner come by her like that, and it was a pitch-perfect leadout followed by Jackson's very gritty sprint. Great win in tough conditions!

Were the riders who crashed in the front group or the second group? I wondered where Van Dijk and Vos were - were they in contention before the crash?

Jackson is so much fun. Who was the non-EF rider who was in the hugfest?

Was that Brodie Chapman from Lidl trek? I’m hoping to see more of Realini. She’s only 4’11” but hangs in there.

I think you're right about Brodie..

And yeah, Alison embodies all the vibes and feels I love to see in the pro peloton - mens and womens - it's not worth doing if you aren't having fun!

And she weighs around 40 kilos. Tiny.

Stage 3

Vos just makes it look routine. Perfect timing, three bike lengths. She looks back, sees she's clear and celebrates before she crosses the line. Lorena Wiebes, pay attention :)

I enjoy endurance auto racing so I get to spend time watching Valentino (The Doctor) these days. Which makes me wonder if Vos is Boss is still in vogue. The GOAT is not a nickname, more of a title.

I'm no expert, but why didn't Vollering or Vas go lights out when they had the break from the rest of the group trying to catch the lone leader? They sat up and the rest of the group caught up with Vos - she eventually took the jersey. Vas could have kept the jersey an extra day. Vollering led the rest of the group in for second place. Saving her legs for tomorrow, or ???? I thought it was weird.

Good question. But there's so little time separating a bunch of top riders. Vas is 5 secs back, and Vollering is in 7th place only 21 seconds back. The rider who took the big hit today was Realini at 2:11 back now.

There are 3 mountain finishes in the next 4 stages. Putting in a an effort like Faulkner did for 10 seconds is high risk/low reward for a GC rider.
