From Rags to Riches: My Colorado LT

I'm just showing off one of my favorite bikes. I bought it from the second owner that had converted it to a single speed. When I told him I was going to put it back to a multispeed he actually gave me the derailleur and wheel for it.

top tub writing?

looks like the top says king of the mountain but the second doesn't look the same. Looks like jester of the mountain.

Anyway, looks good. I like the polka dots.
Thanks for saving it from the previous owner who appears to be to small for it from the first picture.
Enjoy.

When I asked Serotta to refinish it I thought putting "King" wasn't appropriate considering my climbing ability and the bike tipping the scales at 21.5 pounds. Jester of the Mountain is what it reads now.

Love

it!! As an LT owner myself I am very pleased to see others popping up here and there. Yours is very, very original. Mine will be orange / white decals and cable housing / honey brown saddle and tape.
I rode it SS for a while but decided to put gears back on it. Much better IMO.

Beautiful. Loved it as a SS as well, but that stem was a bit much. You did a great job putting it back together.
