Same experience here with Swiftwick. A friend recently bought some Aspires and says that they have a thinner, less cushy feel compared to prior versions. I’m curious to see if they are cutting corners.

To the OP, I’ve never had to sew up socks and would not hesitate to return them if they developed holes. From the looks of it, considering that you have a wicked middle toe stressor I’m not surprised they gave way.

As huge of a Swiftwick fan as I am...I have to admit that I've been a little dissappointed in their colorway options. That area has been severely lacking for a while now.

Counterpoint: it's their business model.

I've never made a warranty claim after wearing DT exclusively for nearly a decade but I plan to.

Just seems a shame to add a bunch of socks to landfill.
after a childhood living on welfare and wearing holey socks, i refuse to do that as a grown adult.

Hopefully it won’t change like REI did after many frugal folks discovered they could use them as a long term rental business

Darn tough says they don’t care and it’s in the biz model so I suppose I should get over my irrational guilt!
