There was a brutal crash earlier which took out WVA, who ended up a lot less jersey on his back, but plenty of road rash. He's in the hospital. Several others appeared to have been badly hurt as well. We'll have to wait for more info.

Great to see Jorgenson win, I mean wow.

But the flip side, the crash really takes the juice out of Flanders for me, with both Wout and Stuyven likley not Starting and Pederson maybe racing at half strength......

I was really hoping that Trek and VL would use their strength in numbers to keep MvdP from running away with RvV. Maybe, just maybe, enough teams have noted that strong tactics are the best weapon against MvdP and will execute accordingly. Jorgenson now moves from "possible top 10" to "possible podium." Bettiol has looked strong all spring (today's cramps notwithstanding). Other teams will look at the absence or weakness of some big names as opportunities for attacks. The first requirement to win is to show up. The second is to throw down. Bring on Sunday AM!

I got to watch the last 35KM or so. Bettiol and Kung were looking strong but Matteo and Benoot played the numbers and Matteo cam out on top. I'm really glad Matteo won he seems like a good dude.

I'm gutted for Wout though. I was hoping he would win on Sunday. MVDP is definitely the favourite now.

I read he cramped up and that is what looked liked happened right after he put in his last attack.

Brutal. Just absolutely brutal for WVA. Nice to see Vis take a win however.

Vos is simply incredible. I haven’t seen full coverage but clearly she picked the right breakaway and dusted the two-up sprint from the front.

Pretty sure she’s now had three iliac artery surgeries. Every case is different, of course, but plenty of racers struggle to come back from one at much younger ages.

Merckx was before my time following the sport. Vos is the best one day racer I’ve seen over the last forty years, moving well ahead of Kelly now.

In addition to being a Dwars spoiler, it's also a serious RVV spoiler.
